Nipsey Hustle On

​In the wake of Nipsey’s death, some young, ignorant girl posted on Facebook, “Niggas die everyday, F*%!, Nipsey”. I hate that. The disrespect, the division is destroying us. Such stupidity. She was a black girl and she got a lot of attention for her post; riding on the phenomenal tide of this young man. And this would truly have been the sentiment for most if this, courageous and conscious brother was common but that is certainly far from the case. He was fire!!!

I have to be honest, I was not familiar with his music but being a freelance writer I was aware of his interest in documenting Dr. Sedi, who I have recently followed. I have read many of the theories about the correlation of his work and his death and I believe these are not just conspiracies. For anyone that is partially woke, we know that the genocide of the Black man has been at the forefront since the creation of what we know as the United States. I know that we are being destroyed through the foods we ingest, what we hear and our behavior as consumers. This is just a few of the points that Nipsey highlighted in his short life. Fire!!! 

Amazing and just like Jesus, Malcolm, Martin, Tupac a few decades was all he had for us. So now we must build on this legacy. We take the conversations he left and expound upon them. We grow in investing and entrepreneurship. We take care of our temples and we don’t operate in fear. His assignment was fulfilled. Who will now take the torch? The defenders of the legacy will. The truth seekers. I now listen to Nipsey’s music; Fire!!! One Love, Ermias Asghedom. Job well done. 

Stop the killing brothers in LA. The only retaliation is to do what he said. Pharmaceutical companies are the real murders.
