You Are Allowed To Cry . . . We are fragile. We must love.

The death of Kobe Bryant, his daughter and several other individuals has the world devastated. We understand that someone is killed every minute. We watch senseless murders daily on the news. Yet we don’t bat an eye when tragic loses are told to us. Today so many are heartbroken from this horrific event. This is because Kobe was a winner. Kobe was our dreams. Kobe was what we wanted our children to become. Someone who stirred in such excellence has that type of impact on us. So, it’s ok to cry even if you didn’t know him. It’s ok to feel because you can’t imagine this happening to the famous. It’s alright to be hurt because the earth lost such greatness. And while senseless deaths happen everyday, this one hits differently and that’s ok. Let’s look at this as how fragile we are. Let’s tell our children they are mortal and without love they will fall. Let’s feel for mother’s and wives whose loved ones transitioned. Let’s hurt with those unknown individuals on the helicopter. Let’s hold our kids close especially when for some this is their first loss. Let’s pray together and love one another because no one knows the day nor the hour when it all will end. To God Be The Glory. To Be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.  RIP Kobe and all those that got their wings today.
