I Don’t Fool Wit You

As we hit upon a New Year, a new documented season, a new reason to try more, a new journey that's in store. I'm not writing resolutions or creating a list of "to dos", I rather write my last piece of 12 reasons of why I don't fool with you.

I learned in January clowns in the circus can't be reformed with big smiles across their faces yet pulling your arm.

In February I learned a man doesn't love you if he hates on your kids, the jewels of your life, the reason it is.

In March the lesson was he can't call you a bitch or a hoe, because first time that he does it, his ass gots to go.

In April I learned that my body is mine and what's under my clothes can't be exploited or defined.

In May I learned a true friend stays by your side. They are always a trooper and always willing to ride.

By June I learned I could make a demand and that demand was respect and if you just can not do it, my attention you will never get.

July, was a hard one, where folks true colors were shown. I learned instead of walking with snakes never fear walking alone.

In August I learned what I'd die for and it was just me and my kids. I learned to embrace on happiness and God was just what it is.

By September I was grinding in my business and becoming a boss. Making sure you wouldn't sabatoge it and fighting at any cost.

In October I was preaching and ministering to my flock. Understanding anyone that pushed my faith was about their own crock.

November came swiftly. I couldn't believe what I had done. Giving God all the glory, knowing the victory was almost won.

Now December is over and God whispered forgiveness in my ear. He has looked over my shoulder and his word was always near. He let me know in forgiving that one thing is true, that I am released and will never, ever have to fool with you.
