Steve Smith Supports Black Wellness in East Charlotte

Former Carolina Panthers player Steve Smith and his foundation “Smith Family Wellness” is the pillar of the Black Charlotte community. Steve Smith was recently awarded an NFL grant of $20,000 for his foundation. This remarkable nonprofit organization received the grant, which further supports the clinical needs and counseling services that are rendered to families. The executive director Gerard Littlejohn says this grant will support its Smith Family Wellness Center located in East Charlotte with additional supports they need. The facility provides free medical and counseling services to uninsured and underinsured residents. 

Steve Smith is a "Black Man on the Rise" in addition to his charitable work, Smith is keeping busy with a new career: Steve is a football analyst on The NFL Network, he has extraordinary talent on the show. He said "It's not about taking and how much can you get for yourself. It's about your life and (taking advantage of) all the resources and applying them and then paying it forward to someone else. This is truly supporting Black Wellness in the East Charlotte area and around Panther nation.
