I had the honor of speaking with City Councilwoman, Teresa Myers Ervin. She is a dynamic native of Florence, SC, serving as an RN for over 39 years. In a season where our medical professionals are our new soldiers, her leadership is essential.
Councilwoman Ervin is also running for Mayor in the upcoming primaries on June 9th and Black Florence’s CEO, B.J. Robinson will be endorsing her run. He made this very important decision based on her awesome track record of excellence as a community leader.  What she has done for the community of Florence stands above the rest.
Inspired by the seniors in the community, Councilwoman befriended 1st District Representative, Harriet Smith who was a great influencer of registering voters for the NW Florence Association. This kind hearted woman served as an advocate and Vice President of the organization. Upon her passing, she influenced Councilwoman to run for office.
Councilwoman stands on the mantle of inclusiveness for all citizens of Florence. She believes we should continue to strive for socio-economic equality in our community. She also believes in supporting small businesses, community health and the continued advancement of recreations. Increasing the living wage and supporting the interest of our schools is also paramount to Ms. Ervin.
Her work on development of homes, expansion of recreationS and the 2010 Renaissance Team, puts her at the forefoot of change. Ms. Ervin tells us don’t just vote for her but look at what she has done and cast your vote for Teresa Myers-Ervin for Mayor.
