Depression is Real

As someone who has suffered years with depression, I'm so sad to hear about the passing of Stephen "Twitch" Boss. Writing the post "depression is real" often and being mocked by cynical reactions only brought me in a darker space with my mental health. And I can't imagine the pressures this young man must of had.

So, now what? Do we let this tragic event fade away like the memory of Robin Williams and many others who felt too hopeless to go on or do we pay closer attention to loved ones that are hurting? Do we stop being so mean to one another? I see it. You know who you are. Do we treat others like they matter? I know a lot of this is chemical but we must become more present with people. We must be each other's keeper. Honoring you today Twist. Your dancing, smile and joy made so many others happy. May you find peace in the here after. May God comfort your family.
