You Don’t Get A Pass For Being An Ass - Oh, Brett

Brett Favre, sit yo self righteous, sanctimonious, memory loss, NFL playing, Trump supporting ass down because you ain’t never been a Black woman. You ain’t never had to manage your mental health because of the war against melanin. You ain’t never had to be the minority in a sport where they didn’t want you there. 
Favre decided to address Naomi Osaka’s French Open withdrawal this past week due to her mental health. In his all American, one size fits all fashion on his podcast, Brett said athletes make too much money not to speak to the media. I say we served too much bondage to not get reparations. And should we speak at the detriment of our health? You would think these apple pie in the sky, “All American”, pseudo patriot, former athletes would have a clue by now that us melanin filled individuals don’t have the same playing cards them. He wasn’t degraded and demean on the tennis court like Serena Williams was. He didn’t have to endure Kapernick’s fate by politically being aligned to a tyrant. And he didn’t have to disassociate with his people like Michael Jordan until he felt the smoke died down. Yeah, I’m talking to you Farve, as many Black Women have been slain by police at astronomical rates and Asian Americans have been brutalized in the street, this young African Asiatic sista has to justify to you that she is tired? And just to think you proclaimed that we needed to keep politics out of sports, falling short of your own advice, revealing that you supported the audaciously, unsound individual that we once called president for four years. Shut up Brett. In the wake of the Breonna’s, Ataitiana’s, Korryn’s and Sandra’s shut up. Shut up Brett, as your millions compounded only makes our nation embedded with the hateful ideology it was founded on. Shut up Brett as we need to recognize this young, beautiful talent for her skills on the court not the endorsements that want to apparently keep her on the plantation. Just shut up Brett. You don’t get a pass for being an ass. We endured over 400 years slavery, can we at least have the right to remain silent?
