Wyandanch, the only school budget to fail out of 124 Districts

There is something seriously wrong when you have 124 districts on Long Island and only 1 school budget fails. There is something seriously wrong, when the community that has the greatest need has to decide on which teachers to cut and what extracurricular activity is too much. There is something seriously wrong with a 40% school tax hike; either someone’s corrupt or something ain’t adding up right. 

A town, with around 11,000, mostly Blacks and Browns, went through urban revitalization but it’s the kids you want to clown? A school board with excessive spending on conferences and things. I was there back in the 80’s and it seems like some things don’t change. $78 million dollar spending plan and understand why your residents are mad. A deficit that just won’t quit and the poorest people have to take the hit? 

The good news for renters, it’s your landlord that has to pay. The bad news for homeowners about a $600 increase is on the way. Yet we must do this for our children and you must remove that board, the only township in Long Island, just think your kids will be the reward.
