Why Make the Move, if you have no idea what to do next?

Reviewing the recent articles, ("Treachery on the Field", "Jigga What!" by D. Price and “Counter that” by Link), I find they all make a lot of sense. In one of Dearest’s articles, I agree that today's sports, regardless of money, is still almost like a live reenactment of slavery; only today it's entertainment for everyone.  Where as Link’s response piece claims that we have enough people out there bashing Black men and I certainly agree with that.

Yet I've been quiet on this for a minute because I wanted to see how this was all going to play out. After recently hearing Jay's stance on the situation on TMZ, "we are past kneeling, what's next?" That statement alone renders validity in what Dearest was saying.

Jay has gained part ownership of a team, and is in charge of NFL's entertainment roster. If I remember correctly, the NFL was having problems securing “A” list artists since kneeling became widespread across the NFL. Any artist that performed received some type of backlash. By Roger Goodell securing Jay Z for that purpose only serves the NFL, clearly shows the move only serves Jay.

Jay stated that the kneeling bought light to our injustices, yet questioned what's next? Why make the move if you have no plan? Why even consider it if you won't perform immediately on what you already know? Kap is still looking for work and you claim to have stand with him. Well let that be your first order of business.

Second, the NFL should open up a charity fund specifically aimed to combat police brutality and systematic racism, and this is where Lee Merritt can come in. Don't hesitate on the duty to your people when you have a seat at the table. You are still playing chess only this time you are in the room seeing the pieces being moved. Jay you claim to walk with the best of them, but clearly you are not thinking like the best of "us".
