Taking Risks for Someone In Jail Praying for Ladayisha

IMG_9817

I was married to a man in the Feds for years and I saw personally how some of the young correctional officers would cross the line first hand and hear how they would bring in more contraband than anyone yet search those grannies and others coming in scrupulously. Why would you risk your freedom for someone locked up? I asked myself that question after my relationship ended, not going as far as this young women but taking my own risks for someone in jail. Yet we know that inmates are getting phones because they calling us and they getting drugs because when we visit they ain’t clean.

FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (Black Line News) — Ladayisha Marie Bell, 30, of Timmonsville, newly hired correctional officer at the Florence County Detention Center was arrested Thursday for allegedly trafficking fentanyl, methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute ecstasy, possession with intent to distribute cocaine and furnishing contraband to a prisoner. Also bringing in contraband such as cell phones.

Bell, is being held at the jail while she awaits a bond hearing, the sheriff's office said. Nothing will be reported about the manipulating inmate who convinced the young lady to be so irresponsible because he is already in jail. Nothing will be considered about the poor conditions, training policies and under staffing of correctional officers. Nothing will be considered about having a newly hired individual with that much ability. She worked for 3 months. It is very sad to see this but I would like to know a little more about hiring protocol, security procedures and the culture. That’s big time getting that much dope in there with only 3 month’s experience Sheriff Joye.

"It is always sad when one of our own violates the public trust," Sheriff TJ Joye said in a news release. "But we will not tolerate corruption within our ranks."

Dumb move Sis, but keep your head up.

It ain’t just her . . .
