Why Being Natural Makes A Statement

​Natural hair is thriving in the black community. We are now accepting how diverse and beautiful our natural hair is. We can do many different styles, haircuts, and colors to our hair. The lively body, the voluminous fros and silky curls. Our hair can be as thick as cotton and as thin as dental floss, we have the most unique hair textures. Once I embraced my natural hair I became a new person. I became brave, spontaneous, and confident, because just like every other black person my hair is different and beautiful. Now is our time to reclaim our beauty and show the world we are proud of our hair. We have options. We are diverse. We are strong. We are unbreakable. We are unlike anyone else. Our hair is one of the first things you see, and when I see natural hair I see power and freedom because regardless if people don't like their hair they don't care what people think and continue to live their best life and let their natural hair flow freely. Our hair holds on to styles better than any other nationality I've ever seen and without effort. We have more options on what to do with our hair compared to others. I believe that we can do what others can't, they try to take that away from us but many of us choose to still live natural and care free. We are black and we are proud. Let's show them our resilience.
