I remember a time when Black love was paramount in the black communities. It showed through the Black Panthers, Malcolm X, Martin, Angela Davis, Assata Shakur. The days when we sat down with our communities and actually worked to better our living conditions together. We didn't look for politicians to fix our community, we knew all too well we'd get crumbs from the table. Some where along the years we lost that perspective, that loyalty, that honor. We down talk our own people before we even support them in their agenda without provocation. The proof in this pudding is our lack of support towards our own whether it's business or simply working to better our communities. We find reasons to complain before we look at the bigger picture, we constantly hear one another say, "Black People ain't ready for that". Well I'm here to tell you that if everyone just chill, shut up, and stop grumbling and complaining; you'll see there is a movement going on. The evolution of the "Black Dollar" is being redirected and circulated. If we stop complaining long enough we'll see there are new platforms being built geared to our communities and local businesses. If we just stop watching, and start participating, change would coming a littler faster. That same negative standard we constantly put on our heads that we are not ready, should become a positive standard that, "We Are Ready!" Find those organizations!
