Burlington County Freeholder Candidate George Youngkin Suspends Campaign Amid Past Domestic Dispute and Harassment Allegations

​     There's seems to be no shortage of women coming forward to out government candidates of harassment and or domestic disputes. George Youngkin a Democratic candidate was just recently outed as to previously being arrested in connections with a domestic dispute with his ex-wife, he was also named in a harassment complaint by an Evesham woman.

     Late Thursday night the Medford resident released a statement announcing his suspension of his campaign bid for Burlington County Board of Freeholders after learning Burlington County Times published stories of his past allegations on-line. He also faced pressure from both sides of the aisles to step aside.

     George Youngkin's public statement, "I am immediately suspending my campaign for Burlington County Freeholder. As I have said, I take full responsibility for my actions during a very difficult time for my family. In order to prevent further anguish to those I love, I am sorry for the pain that I have caused to my family, my running mates, and my supporters."

     Allegtions were said to happen in November of 2006 where he allegedly attempted to choked his ex-wife when they were still married according to public records. Also 2 year prior and also in 2006 and Evesham woman reported that he harassed her with incessant text messages and left notes on her her car after she repeatedly asked him to stop. The same woman also indicated that Youngkin showed up outside her children's school,and her church parking lot.
