The Nipsey Hussle Effect

 One can say we lost a great one recently. Some can say we lost something more than great, a legacy that was stolen seems to be more fitting. In wake of such lost, there's a mass movement of economic unity in the name of Nipsey Hussle. We decided as a people to wait until we lost a great one, to move in unison. Don't get me wrong I am loving every moment of it. But it hurts me to the core to give flowers to our dearly departed instead of while they were here doing the good deeds. Here's a man whom lived the life of being Black and understood the woes we faced, and decided to try to turn the tides in the very community in which he was raised in. Regardless of the motive, the community rose to get an answer, there were no worries about the street code of ethics. The community rose to the challenge to find Nipsey's killer; also came in the name of economic unity for this man. This goes to show you the impact one can have when they return to fix up their community. Nipsey's community activism has drawn the attention of a lot major players whom he also convinced to invest in the inner cities. People from all walks of life was affected by the loss of this man; from the FOI, NOI, any Christian affiliation, Police, Crips, Bloods, men, women, young and old , and children. They were all affected, notice I didn't say the entertainment industry because he was more impactful by his actions rather than his music. This mass movement shouldn't be a flash in the pan, because his dedication to his community wasn't. This movement should become as normal to us as brushing our teeth in the morning. We shouldn't have to wait to lose another great one to decide to act. Nipsey Hussle Effect full swing let's keep it going! Let's Honor his Legacy with longevity.
