To Loose A Teacher

“Unsure of what the balance held, I touched my ‘Bible’ overwhelmed, by what I had been chosen to perform. But then Ms. Rhonda came one day, told me to knell down and pray for unto to me this business would be born.” 
If you have seen any change, any grace in me, in the last 3 years, it truly wasn’t me. I can’t clean up that well. My mouth has always served as my least favorite characteristic to most and I once let emotions guide my thoughts, my behavior and my business. My ex husband would say, “I love everything about you but your mouth”. I was a big cry baby, dropping tears like rain. I was loose lipped, sinking ships with pain. My scarlet letter was actually “P” and I wore it on my chest like Superman wears his “S”. Yes I was once a mess until a true guardian angel on earth came my way. Like Lauryn Hill said, “she told me to knell down and pray, for unto to me a ‘business’ would be born. Oh this crazy circumstance, I knew my dreams deserved a chance but everybody told me to be smart. Look at your finances they said, Dearest Price just use your head but instead I choose to use my heart.” 
My business was in the toilet. I wrote a really bad book and my handling of authors was a mess. But Ms. Rhonda came in like a soft breeze and from there I was forever changed. She mentored me daily. Making me accountable, consistent and resilient. She showed me the power of completion and the importance of discretion. She took the loneliness out of business. She was a on point, professional but the most wonderful sister friend. 
I’m devastated right now but I’m ready. Our final assignment together was the book “Curvy”. She never held her book in her hand. I will be writing always about this phenomenal woman and her impact as a entrepreneur, Madame Founder Rhonda Baker. The legacy continues on my teacher, my friend. I’m so mad sis that you left. I love you though.
