Optical Illusion of Social Media

According to Webster’s dictionary, “Optical Illusions are images or pictures that we perceive differently than they really are. Put another way, optical illusions occur when our eyes send information to our brains that tricks us into perceiving something that does not match reality.“

Case study 1 - 2022 “ FACEBOOK FAKE AS HELL LOL I just seen a unpopular nigga say the realest shit and nobody liked his shit, a popular nigga said the same shit and his shit went viral lol we from the same city so I know they got the same friends , y'all just pick and choose WHO YALL WANT TO BE REAL 🤣🤣” - Osiris Lucid

Well I am doing an experiment. I am taking the above post from Osiris and putting it on my wall. No questions. No comments will be added. And then I will monitor both responses for 24 hours and see if Mr. Lucid’s theory is correct and does this fall under the category of Optical Illusion. I stay away from terms like “popular” because that is subjective. I’m more concerned why some products sell and others don’t. Why some people get ahead while others won’t. I believe doing our own case study on such an abstract phenomenon can tell us how to market better, become more mentally sound and confident in this fairly new medium called social media.
